A tool for sharing a sitting
Tepis are applicators used to pass rapé to another person. Explore each piece’s materials, dimensions and craftsmanship, from carved wood and stone to beaded Huni Kuin designs. Understanding the practice belongs alongside choosing the tool.
Questions we hear
Can a tepi replace a kuripe for self-application?
They serve different roles. A kuripe connects your own mouth and nostril; a tepi is designed for one person to pass to another. Read our guide to understand the distinction before choosing.
What should I compare between tepis?
Look at the listed materials, overall length, design and maker details. Our catalog includes single and combined materials, so neither dimensions nor care should be assumed from another piece.
Where can I ask about application?
Contact us with your familiarity with hapay, the tool you have, and whether you are learning self-application or receiving from someone with experience. Those details help us answer your actual question and point you toward appropriate instruction.
